86. Better yet if you have a boiler —scrap your other water heater!
If you have a stand-alone water heater, take a look at some of the newer heating systems.
They incorporate the hot water into the boiler.
For my dollars I don’t want to spend money on an oil fired water heater that’s separate from my boiler. (continues below)
By incorporating the two, I’m getting the most efficiency and I don’t have two separate burners running at the same time.
It just makes better economic sense.
The nice part about it is when your house thermostat calls for heat, the boiler not only heats your home, but it heats your tap water too.
If you were to compare it against the stand-alone water heater, you’re essentially getting your hot water FREE.
